Membership Categories and Fees
General Membership
For active Fellows in independent specialist surgical practice, including operative, consulting, medico-legal, and non-clinical specialist work such as surgical administration and academia. This membership includes voting rights.
Associate Membership
For non-resident surgeons or semi-retired Fellows who wish to remain connected to NZAGS as non-voting members.
Trainee Membership
For surgeons on the NZAGS General Surgical Training Programme. The annual membership fee is included in your training fee.
Senior Surgeon (Over 65 and Still Working)
Reduced rate for Fellows over 65 who continue to practice.
Retired Membership
For Fellows who have fully retired from all forms of medical practice, surgery, medico-legal work, and specialist non-clinical work.
Overseas Membership
For NZ resident Fellows temporarily residing outside New Zealand.
Parental Leave
Free membership during parental leave periods.
How to Pay
Membership operates on a twelve-month basis from 01 July annually.
